Over all, I think the reporting and columns is often first-rate.<\/p>\n<p><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1523\/378\/1600\/heatherMallick100x120.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/1523\/378\/200\/heatherMallick100x120.jpg?w=629\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m so disappointed to learn this weekend that <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heather_Mallick\">Heather Mallick<\/a> has left the paper over a dispute about the way the editors handled her regular Saturday column, according to The Toronto Star&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/thestar.blogs.com\/azerb\/2005\/12\/heather_mallick.html\">Antonia Zerbisias<\/a> in her media blog.<\/p>\n<p>I found out about this through my friend Eric Eggertson&#8217;s blog <a href=\"http:\/\/mutually-inclusive.typepad.com\/weblog\/2005\/12\/what_was_the_gl.html\">Mutually Inclusive<\/a>, who in turn has a link to the original blog posting. Ah, the beauty of blogging in action.<\/p>\n<p>Eric&#8217;s post is called &#8220;What was the Globe thinking?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Indeed.
