So we&#8217;re working on crosswords (which I still can&#8217;t do worth a darn), trying out Sudoko (works better for me) and staying married (at least according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/servlet\/story\/RTGAM.20081002.wgenex02\/BNStory\/lifeFamily\/\">this article<\/a> from the Globe and Mail.)<\/p>\n<p>But today, a post from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boingboing.net\/2008\/09\/30\/apartments-designed.html\">Boing Boing<\/a> caught my eye. Seems the Japanese have taken the idea of brain exercise to new, unheard-of heights:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lh5.ggpht.com\/dave.traynor\/SOZ32jFMFcI\/AAAAAAAAAQg\/Rmn5dWqI2fo\/E2F81C3E-081F-4376-9941-4B0AA5BEFF61.jpg?resize=470%2C296\" alt=\"E2F81C3E-081F-4376-9941-4B0AA5BEFF61.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"470\" height=\"296\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pink Tentacle has photos and a video of the &#8220;Reversible Destiny Lofts&#8221; in Japan, designed to physically and mentally challenge people in order to keep them healthy.<\/p>\n<p>To NY-based architect-poets and \u201creversible destiny\u201d philosophers Arakawa &#038; Gins, comfort deserves only a limited role in the home. In their vision, a home that keeps its inhabitants young and healthy should provide perpetual challenges.
